Is Didier Drogba going to China?

Janine Self:

Drogba has been consistently linked to a move to China, perhaps even during January but the striker insists that he has no plans to leave yet – although he is not ruling out a departure from Stamford Bridge this summer when his contract expires.

At the moment Drogba is on African Cup of Nations duty with the Ivory Coast, which means he cannot help Chelsea’s cause.  The onus has fallen on Fernando Torres, but he has now gone 17 games without a goal.  Manager Andre Villas-Boas might want to get rid of Drogba but will not do so unless his alternatives are viable.
Drogba has been offered a one-year extension to his Chelsea contract but wants two years and that might see him accepting the offer from Shanghai, who are believed to be able to pay £200,000-a-week to the forward.  Nicolas Anelka has made the move after being deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
