Former Leeds United and Aston Villa manager David O’Leary was in dispute with Dubai-based club and former employers Al Ahli over monies owed to the team’s one-time manager.
O’Leary was sacked just one year into a three-year contract with the club but despite being seemingly dismissed from his post, Al Ahli refused to provide any form of compensation and instead claimed that the Irishman had simply walked away from his post.
O’Leary opted to take action to recoup the £3.3 million owed to him with a hearing of the world governing body ruling in his favour.
