I think Henry's return is a good thing, and not because of what he will add to the playing strength of Arsene Wenger's team.  Henry is steeped in the Arsenal way and his joi de vivre will inspire the other players, especially the youngsters.
I equate it to the decision by Alex Ferguson to sign Henrik Larsson on a short-term deal. The arrival of a proven, world class professional serves as a glowing example during training and galvanises the whole squad.
Also, when the arrangement is a finite one, then the younger players do not feel that a barrier has been put in front of their own progress. They can look, they can admire and they know that Henry is not a threat.
He is also, at 34, not the youngest outfield player in the Premier League. How often he features is not the point and that's not why Arsene Wenger has signed him.
