Manchester City are reportedly lining up a deal that would bring Napoli striker Edinson Cavani to the Etihad this summer.

According to reports, the Blues are keen to offer wantaway Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko along with 30 million euros in exchange for the Uruguayan goalscorer.

Dzeko is a longtime admirer of Serie A and with Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri departing, Cavani could be open to the big money move.

Are Manchester City starting up a Major League Soccer franchise?

Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber has confirmed that Manchester City Football Club and the New York Yankees have purchased the 20th expansion club of the MLS.
The new team will be named New York City Football Club and will begin playing from 2015.
Garber said:”We proudly welcome two of the most prestigious professional global sports organizations to Major League Soccer.
“This is a transformational development that will elevate the league to new heights in this country. The New York area is home to more than 19 million people, and we look forward to an intense crosstown rivalry between New York City Football Club and the New York Red Bulls that will captivate this great city.”
