According to a report from German newspaper Die Welt, Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Andre Schurrle is set to move to Chelsea this summer.
The news source indicates that the Londoners are set to spend 22 million euros on the 22-year-old, with club officials reportedly travelling to London this week to negotiate a deal.
The agreement, inclusive of the player’s wages, could cost Chelsea as much as 50 million euros, with Schurrle currently contracted to remain with Leverkusen until 2018.
An indication of a potential agreement between the clubs was given earlier this month when the team’s general manager Rudi Voller said: “That we should consider the offer is all part of business. It is all in our hands.”
